  • For positions Field officers and Field investigators freshers (graduates) are preferred while for Field Managers and Regional Field Managers candidates with some experience are preferred. For the rest of the postions MBA’s or MA in economics are preferred.
  • Salaries offered to these positions – Salaries start from Rs.5000 p.m. for field investigators and could go up to as much at Rs.35000 for posts like Field managers
  • Terms of Employment – The terms of employment are never fixed as most agencies go through many phases and is controlled by 1 or 2 people at the helm of affairs. But bigger agencies are more professional in their approach towards employees.
  • Timings of work – Timings to come to office will be fixed but there are no timings to go back home. You may have to work till 1 a.m. at night so be prepared to burn the midnight oil.
  • Work Culture – Within the market research agency the culture is very relaxed and informal. People chill together and have loads of parties and fun but the interaction with clients is totally opposite its super formal.
  • Study leave/Leave policy – Depends from firm to firm not fixed.
  • Future career prospects/growth pattern – Initially at the trainee level growth prospect cannot be ascertained. It really depends on your performance and your interpersonal relations with your boss. But job hopping is very common in the ad world and once you have some experience i.e. 2-3 years in a good market research firm then growth can be rapid.
  • Requirement of freshers in the coming year – Market Research firms are looking out continuously for freshers at all positions,
